Lowest point score ever in August 2022 Australia SkillSelect Invitation round
The Department of Home Affairs, Australia conducted the first SkillSelect invitation round of the year 2022-23 on August 22, 2022 to invite all time high, i.e. 12666 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for key General Skilled Migration (GSM) visas, i.e. Subclass 189 visa and Subclass 491 visa. ITA process and cut offs in the SkillSelect rounds
The Department of Home Affairs, Australia invites the top ranked individuals as per the points score, for the relevant visa. In this latest invitation round of online SkillSelect system, DHA has dropped the CUT OFF to the lowest ever, i.e. just 65 points.
This is the first SkillSelect invitation round of this program year, the last invitation round occurred in April 2022 (i.e. in previous program year 2021-22).
Since the pandemic caused situation is settled, therefore the government of Australia is taking various steps to attract skilled and talented overseas professionals. A few of these positive steps taken the Aussie government are as follows:
- Australia has removed all Covid-19 restrictions from 6th July 2022
- The total visa places in Migration planning level 2022-23 increased from 160,000 to 195,000
