Australia PR Points Calculator
Australia has designed point based system to select the overseas skilled people for its three main skilled visa Categories under General Skilled Migration (GSM) program, i.e. Subclass 189 (Permanent Visa), Subclass 190 (State nominated Permanent visa) and Subclass 491–Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa..
This Australia Immigration point system 2022 is based on certain selection factors, i.e. age, education, work experience, English proficiency, etc.
To be eligible to apply for any of the above-mentioned GSM Visa Categories, an applicant needs to score a minimum of 65 points out of 100, based on the given selection factors in the online SkillSelect System of Australia.
The top scoring profiles usually get the ITA (Invitation to Apply) for Australia PR from the Australia’s immigration department. Find below the points being allocated by the Australian immigration Department for each profile factor of an applicant.
Following applicants are awarded with additional points as per the Australian points system:
- who have skilled spouse or de-facto partners, whose spouse or de-facto partners have ‘competent English.
- who are skilled in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) occupations.
- who have been sponsored by a family member who live in Australia as permanent resident or citizen or nominated by state or territory government.
