Lately, the Australian government has made a few important announcements on the visa subclasses. Among all, the update about the changes in the visa fee structure is catching all the eyeballs.

The Department of Home Affairs of Australia has announced a hike a 5.4% in the Visa Application fees to be enforced from 1 July 2019 on most of the visa subclasses. This significant change has been outlined in the 2019-20 Australia Government Federal Budget.

Yes, you read it right, if you wish to apply for an Australian visa, then it is highly advisable to lodge the application form before 1 July 2019, otherwise, an additional visa application charge would be applied to any visa subclass you choose, except Visitor visa Subclass 600. With a whopping rise in the visa charges by 5.4%, this extra amount would make a significant mark while applying for an Australian visa including a partner visa.

You can understand it this way, say for example Stage 1 partner visa, the present cost is AUD7,160 and will cost you around AUD7,546 from 1st July 2019, marking a significant hike of AUD386.64.
