Invitation rounds for subclass 189 Skilled Independent visa and subclass 489 Skilled Regional (provisional) visa run once a month and are mostly anticipated to be announced on the 11th day of every month.

In this invitation round, no invitations were issued for the subclass 489 Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa, the reason being the introduction of the new Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) (subclass 491) visa since 16th November 2019.

Minimum score requirement

In this round, the candidates with the highest rank and points score have received an invitation to apply for the visa. For candidates who have scored equal points scores, in that case, the time when they reached their scores for that particular visa subclass served as the determining factor for their invitation order. Those candidates with earlier dates of effect for expressions of Interest were invited before those with later dates.
