Australia has raised the Visa fees for most of its Subclasses w.e.f. July 1, 2019
The government of Australia has raised the visa fees for most of its visa subclasses including the General Skilled Migration (GSM) Category visas with effect from July 1, 2019. The Department of Home Affairs of Australia has made an increase of 5.4% in the Visa Application fees on most of the visa categories. The hike was proposed in the 2019-20 Australia Government Federal Budget.
GSM visa fees updated
General Skilled Migration (GSM) category visas, i.e. Skilled Independent Subclass 189 Visa, Skilled Nominated Subclass 190 Visa and Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 489 are largely popular among the applicants. Hence, any update with regards to the fees or rule changes is monitored closely by all the Australia immigration applicants and aspirants. All visa subclasses under GSM are point tested, which means anyone applying for GSM Category visas needs to score minimum 65 points out of 100 based on some key selection factors, i.e. age, education, English proficiency, work experience, etc.
