Tasmanian Skilled Migration Update: Registrations Open for State Nomination Program

According to an update from DHA (Department of Home Affairs), the Registrations of Interest (ROIs) is now open for candidates under Tasmanian Skilled Migration State Nomination Program. Qualifying candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria, including those qualifying for an Orange Pass.

Additionally, the new application gateway for migration Tasmania is being tested and finalized for deployment and is expected to go-live in December 2022. Until then, the interim ROI process will be in place and the invitations will be issued based on following criteria:

• Candidates with one gold attribute will immediately receive their invitation to apply for nomination
• Candidates with one green attribute will receive their invitation to apply for nomination within 2 weeks
  
• Candidates with orange attributes will receive their invitation for application submission until early December
  

In case you fail to receive invitation before 9th December 2022, your registration will expire. As a result, you have to submit your registration of interest in the new Migration Tasmania Application Gateway.

Follow the below-listed steps to register your interest during the Interim Period

Step 1: Meet the eligibility criteria, i.e., 

• age below 45 years 
• have positive skills assessment for selected occupation listed on one of the Skilled Occupation Lists
  
• have a minimum of ‘Competent’ level English proficiency
  
• score a minimum of 65 points on the points test 

Step 2: Register your Expression of Interest (EOI) via SkillSelect 

Step 3: Meet the minimum eligibility requirements for selected Tasmanian nomination pathway 

Step 4: Complete the Request for Invitation form for selected nomination pathway:

• you must indicate which Gold or Green attributes you have 
• you must attach your EOI, skills assessment, CV, English test result and valid passport copy

Step 5: Apply for nomination along a non-refundable fee of $220, if

• you receive an invitation to apply along with a link to complete application

Please note that the invitation to lodge your application will be valid for a maximum of 14 days.
