The Department has announced the details of 11 March 2019 SkillSelect invitation round. The number of invitations issued for the Skilled Independent 189 visa in this round has been reduced from 1,490 to 100.
The number of ITAs for regional skilled visa subclass 489 is the same at 10. Additionally, it s the first time that no invitations have been issued to the candidates who have scored less than 80 points for the subclass 189 visa.

Invitations for 489 subclass visas are still at 10 per month with a score requirement of 80 points.
SkillSelect allocates available places to Skilled Independent subclass 189 visas and then the remaining ones goes to Skilled Regional Provisional subclass 489 visas.
