About Australian Capital Territory and State Nomination in Australia

The ACT is a self-governing territory in south east Australia and has a right to choose and nominate suitable applicants under relevant skilled visa categories, i.e., Visa Subclass 190 and 491.

ACT Nomination application process

It is a two-step process:

  • You must express an interest to apply for the ACT 190 nomination and complete a score-based ‘Canberra Matrix’. You obtain points against your economic contribution demonstration and candidates with highest ranking are invited to apply for ACT 190 visa.
  • Once you get an invitation, you must submit a complete application online within 14 days’ time and submit all the relevant documents as well along with your Matrix score at the date of Matrix submission.
