Australia Introduces Sydney Scholars India Scholarship Program

Sydney, Australia is offering a great opportunity for Indian students who wish to pursue International undergraduate and postgraduate study program in Australia.

The University of Sydney has introduced a new "Sydney Scholars India Scholarship Program" and will provide $500,000 worth of scholarships to Indian students.

With this program, the country is aiming at further strengthening Australia s engagement with India by supporting and encouraging Indian students.

Following are the benefits of this scholarship program:

There will be total 28 scholarships to be awarded in an year, consisting of:

• 3 per annum of $50,000 for any undergraduate degree of up to 4 years
• 10 first year scholarships of $20,000 for undergraduate and postgraduate students
• 15 first year scholarships of $10,000 for undergraduate and postgraduate students

Following individuals are eligible to apply:

• You must be a citizen and a current resident of India
• You must not be an Australian PR holder
• You must have applied for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program but have not yet started

The Selection Criteria

You will be awarded a scholarship on the basis of:

• You academic merit
• Personal statement assessed from an your admission application
• Details mentioned in your scholarship application
• Nomination of a selection committee, which includes two academic and two non-academic nominees made by the Vice-Principal
