Australia increased Skilled Visa places in Migration Program planning levels 2022-23

As per the 2022-23 Migration Program, Australia is aiming to further boost its economic recovery in the post-pandemic environment and have a plan to allot 160,000 visa places with the following composition: 

• Skilled: 109,900 places (improve Australia s productive economic capacity and fill labour shortages)
• Family: 50,000 places (mostly Partner Visas)
• Special Eligibility: 100 places (for people with special circumstances)
  

However, the government has significantly increased the visa places for skilled visa streams for 2022-23, i.e., from 79,600 to 109,900.
